Rotarian Profile - Libby Hughes 2016
Name: Libby Hughes
Family status: Married with 2 boys, hoping for grandchildren soon!
Joined Rotary in: April 2008
Enjoys Rotary because: I love the friendship, feeling of family and belonging to a group of like minded people. Its great to get involved in a variety of projects, follow passions and do new things that I would never have dreamed of.
My Rotary Moment is when I saw a picture of a lost profoundly deaf little boy in Nepal and through the network of Rotary , he was able to get a Cochlear Implant and now he can hear. He will do what he wants with his life, but now he can hear birds sing, dogs bark and people laugh. He can communicate with his friends and learn to read & write. Rotary and the many friends of Rotary made this happen.
