I wonder how many people knew that there is so much involved in a Feasibility Study? I certainly didn’t!
The ROS committee have chosen some very competent and highly educated people in Sally and Robin Hirst of Hirst Projects. Without giving away the secret location, Sally explained very clearly all the steps involved in deciding if, where, and who will pay for the Rotary Outdoor Stage that Valerie has campaigned for so many years. Listening to Sally, I am sure it will be a certainty. It helps that Robin was born in Leeds, Yorkshire, the same city as me!
Last night was our Board Meeting, a summary will be in the Fossicker shortly.
Welcome back Joy and Garry who have been on a fact finding trip to Samoa. Garry will detail to the club soon what he has found that will be the priorities for the next working party. While there, they had good feedback about the group of Students from the Food and Fibre Centre of Excellence at TAFE who went out to Samoa to study food production and the local culture. This stems from Norma’s visit to Bendigo. Will Dalgleish a teacher at TAFE and leader of the group will tell us the story of the visit next week.
Reminder about Form 3, please hand them back to Tom Dobeli
We had great feedback from our Multiple Sclerosis Awareness Night. The MS Support group was delighted that Rotary were doing the MS 24hrMegaSwim. They are self- supporting so are really grateful for our involvement. We can do lots to help make living life easier for them. Kangaroo Flat RC wants to be involved with the organising and Bendigo South and Bendigo Strathdale RCs have offered help on the day.
SeiSei has a new email address firstname.lastname@example.org can everyone take note because she isn’t getting any updates or emails from Rotary.
