We had a great Fellowship day on Tuesday, we talked a lot about things our club was planning in the next couple of months. We met, officially, our outgoing Exchange Student Annabelle Kingston-Brown who is leaving for Switzerland in January. I sure everyone was very impressed with this young (very young) lady, very confident and self assured. She will have a great year on her exchange.
As usual, our own members have great stories to tell. No exception to that rule was Kaye Lehmann’s “Getting to know Me“ talk. She has had a lifetime connection to Rotary through her father, a member of Horsham Rotary Club, working bees, events and fellowship through her childhood with her brother. Joining Horsham Rotary Club herself on return to Horsham and women were then allowed to be members. Kaye has done lots of things throughout her life, including training competitive cyclists to great success. Julie & I hoped we could be next, but Kaye seems to have retired!!! Her love of Rotary and the fellowship in rotary was evident, describing it as her” happy space”!. We are very lucky to have her in our club.
